URGENT AT SAN BERNARDINO, CA ( S CAL)- HIGH KILL SHELTER- SAN BERNARDINO CITY SHELTER WHICH IS FULL - ID #A592387, 'ALEXANDER' a 3 yr old, adorable and dog and people friendly male shepherd/chow mix- NEEDS LOVING HOME, OR FOSTER AND RESCUE Help! This friendly male shepherd/CHOW mix, estimated to be 3 years old and 59 lbs was found as a stray with a female friend (A592388) and taken in by a good Samaritan. However, the landlord would not allow the dogs, and they were then brought to high kill San Bernardino city shelter and the two dogs were separated. The original finder reported no issues, nor did the shelter. Alexander is now kenneled with an unrelated male dog. Alexander came available to adopt on 4/25 and has now meet his legal retention and can be sadly euthanized anytime in a very full shelter. The same goes for his friend who we have a separate post up for and looks similar. Therefore. if you are able to adopt either dog and provide a forever home, please contact the shelter directly and asap by calling (909) 998-4000 or using their listing link. The shelter can do a short hold for serious adopters while they drive to the shelter. Please note they also offer a foster program for nearby homes.
