About Obi

Adoption Fee: $150
Cocker Spaniel
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Obi is a 6-year-old American Cocker Spaniel with a beautiful tan coat and expressive eyes. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and in great health. A well-cared-for family dog, Obi has been a cherished part of our home and is ready to find his next loving family. Obi is very playful and full of energy, always ready for a walk or a game. He loves being active but is just as happy to settle down and cuddle with his people. He is incredibly loving and affectionate, and thrives on attention and companionship. One of his favorite things is playing with his chew toys-he can happily entertain himself but always prefers to be near his family. A typical day for Obi starts with a quick trip to the backyard first thing in the morning to take care of his needs. He then comes back inside for breakfast and water, followed by his morning walk later in the morning-which he always looks forward to. He would happily go out for a second walk in the afternoon if possible, as he really loves being outside. During the rest of the day, Obi spends his time at home either relaxing with the family or comfortably on his own. He enjoys playtime, especially with his chew toys, and loves joining in on family activities, walks, and hikes whenever he can. Obi would do best in a loving home where he can be part of the family and receive plenty of attention and companionship. He is great with children, especially older kids, as he is playful and likes to jump and be active during playtime. While he has not lived with cats, so his behavior around them is unknown, he has spent extended time with other dogs and socializes very well, showing a friendly and easygoing nature. Obi can adapt to both an active or a quieter household, as long as he gets his daily walks and interaction. He is naturally protective and will bark to alert when someone is at the door or around the home. Overall, he would thrive in a caring, attentive environment where he can continue to be an engaged and loved companion. Obi is fully house-trained and does not have accidents inside the home. He will let you know when he needs to go outside by gently 'knocking' on the door with his paw, which is very helpful. He does not have separation anxiety and is comfortable staying home on his own. He walks well on a leash, though he may pull a bit at the start of the walk until he settles into a steady rhythm. The only minor note is that, on rare occasions, he may have a small, involuntary pee when he gets very excited-such as when greeting visitors-especially if he hasn't recently emptied his bladder. Obi is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and in excellent overall health. He does not have any special dietary needs. The only minor note is that he may occasionally have a small, involuntary pee when he becomes overly excited-such as when greeting visitors-if he hasn't recently gone outside. This is not a medical condition, just a characteristic that can be seen in some dogs. He has no special needs.
