About Jazz

I've been rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming dogs for 45 years. I'm looking for an Aussie rescue that does rescue-to-ranch placement. This Aussie is not available for a standard adoption. He is 3 years old and is instinctively a working dog. A friend has Jazz and his brother. They are trying to kill each other. One is fairly demure, while the other (Jazz) is in constant need of activity. It is Jazz she must rehome to a working ranch. He gets along with all other dogs, just not his brother. He is purebred with papers. While he's an exceptional and acutely intelligent Australian Shepherd (as is typical of the breed), my friend is 73 years old and isn't capable of working with such a high energy dog. She also must keep both dogs separated. I'm hoping to find an organization that specializes in rehab and placement of Aussies into working ranch or herding situations, rather than a standard pet adoption. Jazz constantly tries to herd people. He has not been trained to herd. It's instinctive. This is breaking my friend's heart, but she wants to do what is best for him.
