About Dixie

This blue gal is Dixie. She is a 2.5 years old Australian cattle dog mix who weighs about 40 pounds. Dixie is a smart gal who knows: Sit, Come, Lay, Stay and Paw (All by Sign). Click on the red YouTube video to see her . She is deaf but that doesn't slow her down at all. She is also house and crate trained. Dixie is good with men, women, and kids. Once in a while it takes her a moment to warm up when meeting new people. Dixie is best with dogs her size and larger. She does like to play with some dog pals. She does live with a cat but the cat thinks she plays too rough. Dixie is good on leash and knows to go left, right, and sit when asked to. She walks politely past other dogs. She is good in the car after a brief period of being excited to go somewhere. She is a good road trip partner. She is also a fantastic hiking buddy. Dixie is a fun gal who is smart, loyal, and even likes to cuddles with her person when it's time to go to sleep. Dixie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations. She is located in Lancaster, CA, and is ready to meet adopters who are able to come here to meet and adopt. A home visit and vet reference are required.
