WEST LOS ANGELES, CA (S CAL)- 11 MONTH, 43 lb ADORABLE CHOW PUPPY 'TEDDY' IN NEED OF A LOVING, RESPONSIBLE HOME, IDEALLY W/ CHOW EXPERIENCE- GOOD W DOGS AND PEOPLE. RECENTLY SAVED FROM A BACKYARD BREEDING SITUATION. DOES WELL W/ KIDS TOO Please help us find a loving, responsible home for adorable Teddy, an approximate 45 lb young man who appears to be purebred and we are told about 11 months old. His current foster owner saved him and his brother (who was just adopted) from a bad breeding situation recently, in hopes of finding him his forever home. Teddy is described by his foster owner as 'very friendly, loves people, dogs, kids and cats.' He is currently in a home with the owner and many other dogs he does well with, both large and small, male and female, who said 'He is tested with all Dog, female males small big no issues at all. Teddy is friendlier towards others than most chows according hos foster and more like a 'lab' than a typical aloof chow. 'Kids came by and played with them no issues. Husband carrying him around like a baby no issues. A little dominate over food don't want to share does a low growl to tell brother to move away. I did bring them both inside last night and kept them in the bathroom behind the baby gate no barking or peeing. Did not chew up anything either. They are not destructive at all. No digging or chewing or nothing.' Teddy has lived outdoors until the past month and has acclimated to indoor living. He has also recently been neutered and vaccinated and chopped, so he's ready to go home! The foster is not aware of any behavior or medical issues when asked. A $250 rehoming fee is much appreciated to help cover the expenses already incurred by the Foster who saved him. If you are interested in applying for dear Teddy, please contact [email protected] asap or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is assisting the foster owner with placement. Chow or dog experience is preferred. If you have another dog or pet, a meet and greet is also strongly advised. Sorry, we do not do transport to private homes unless a rescue is involved or there are no risks in the home and the adopter has access to safe transport. All adopters will be asked for a home check (which may be virtual), an application, pictures of past and current pets, a vet reference and an adoption contract.
