About Dexter

Dexter is a very active dog who loves long walks and playing fetch. He's very friendly with people, kids, and other dogs and is generally a sweet, affectionate companion. He's house-trained and does well when left home alone as long as he isn't confined to a small room. He doesn't chew household items and usually sticks to his toys. Dexter can be a bit of a food opportunist, if food is on tables or counters he'll try to grab it, and he will get into the garbage if it's accessible. We just keep food put away and the trash secured. He's also very curious about the outside world and will run if he manages to slip out an open door, so we're careful during entrances and exits to make sure doors are secured. Dexter does bark when he sees people or dogs walking by outside (he likes to keep an eye on the neighborhood), but otherwise he settles well in the house. Overall, Dexter is a fun, loving dog who thrives with exercise and a little awareness around food and doors.
