URGENT AT SANTA FE, NM (NR ALBUQUERQUE) - ID #A174864 'MUFASA, a VERY HANDSOME YOUNGER PUREBRED MALE AT SANTA FE HUMANE - ADOPTABLE and STUNNING PUREBRED CHOW - NEEDS LOVING FOREVER HOME OR FOSTER AND RESCUE- DOG FRIENDLY Please help us find a responsible and forever home or a foster and rescue, ideally who is chow savvy. Mufasa was sadly found as a stray neglected condition. Although he was chipped, his owner stopped communication and never showed. The shelter has now reached out to us in hopes of finding him his forever home he so deserves. Although Mufasa came in understandably scared, he is already warming up to staff and has now been made available to adopt. We were told Mufasa just 'went to playgroup today and behavior staff reported that he was dog social/tolerant.' His behavior notes indicate, 'Mufasa A174864 was the first dog in the yard. He showed a lot of confidence both when exploring on his own and when greeting other dogs. Able to greet others, calm, showed little interest in dogs after his initial greetings. Able to pair. Dog social/tolerant. His shelter bio says, 'He may not technically be a king but our Mufasa certainly looks like a lion. Mufasa is a 2 year old Chow Chow who looking for his next forever home now. He walks like a gentleman on leash and doesn't pull and he's known to get along with a variety of dogs. Mufasa weighs 61 pounds. ' Mufasa's adoption fee is $100. He is also microchipped and has age-appropriate vaccinations. He is believed to be already neutered but this will be done if not. A licensing fee may apply. The shelter has his medical records for your review and upon request, but he appears to be healthy.
