About CHICA

LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY - Within a one hour drive to Pensacola CHICA is a Rat Terrier mix surrendered to us with the rest of her litter to find a home. They were born on February 21st and will be ready to go home on May 1st. CHICA is your classic happy-go-lucky puppy who is always ready to join in on whatever is happening. She loves to play, especially when toys are involved, and can often be found running around with her siblings, fully embracing puppy life. She has a fun, easygoing personality and brings a lot of energy and joy wherever she goes. CHICA does great with other dogs and would do best in a home with another playful companion or one who can tolerate her puppy enthusiasm. She has not been tested with cats or children but would likely do well with proper introductions. She is not housebroken yet but does use a dog door and enjoys spending time outside playing. When it is time to wind down, she is more than happy to snuggle up and sleep in the big bed with her person. CHICA has already had her first puppy shot and is getting her second one on April 30th. The third puppy shot is covered by the rescue and will be given about 3 weeks after the second shot. Her spay will be scheduled at one of our vets when she is old enough and is also covered by the rescue. Because she has pending vet appointments, CHICA is local adoption only which is within a one hour drive to Pensacola. *To meet or adopt, you must first submit an adoption application for review. Important - check your spam folder for follow up questions and responses from our team. *A Place of Hope Rescue is a foster-based rescue located in Pensacola, Florida. We do not have a physical facility for visits. We adopt within a 6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally (within 1 hour to Pensacola). We do not ship or transport our dogs.
