Breed: Dutch Shepherd/Staffy mix Name: Stormie Approximate age: about 4 years old in September we believe. Shots: Updated for the year within a month ago. Rabies, Bordatella, Parvo, Distemper. Spayed: Yes. Microchipped: Yes Crate/potty trained: Yes. Cannot be left alone in a house if you are not home. She will get into snacks and loves to find socks. She does well in a crate while you are not home. Location: Belding, MI Flea and Tick Meds: Chewable, monthly. She's allergic to the kind you put on their back. The chewable seems to work the best for her. No other allergies as far as we are aware. About her: Stormie has been with our family since she has been a young pup. She got pregnant with her first (and only) litter while we were patiently waiting for her second heat (per the vets recommendation). She was on her lead and one of our old neighbor pups was roaming around free and well'| ya know. %90| %90%9D = %8D%BC She had a healthy litter of 10 pups almost a year ago (04/20/2025) They have all since found new, happy and healthy homes to those we know and trust. Stormie is a sweet girl who loves snuggles and Bluey, as well as herding balls and playing tug of war with her new toy. She is a sweetheart, but does better with adults and not surrounded by kids, specifically hyper active or kids who are reactive. She loves to play with other dogs, but tends to do better with dogs as big or bigger than her. Unfortunately, Stormie is 'barky' and is triggered by stress and anxiety. We have tried working with her, and trying to figure out what the triggers are, and how we can address them. She is very much a herding dog, and has never bit anyone. She just gets very 'scary bark' when someone in the house (specifically the kids) are under stressful moments. We as a family have been through therapy to help us as humans with some of our own things, but since I've been pregnant, she has been very protective. With the new baby on his way in a few weeks, I worry that she's not going to handle that well. And I don't want to have a bad situation happen as I don't have the time or energy being 9 months pregnant and working full time as well as being a high risk pregnancy.. She's a good girl, but has developed some serious reactive barking and 'booping' and I just couldn't live with myself if anything happened to the baby and then we would have to do the inevitable... We want her to go to a good home with plenty of space to run and live a happy, and healthy life. This is not a decision that was taken lightly. I love my dogs dearly. One thing I ask is to be able to stay in touch with whomever takes her so we can keep updates on how she is doing. She is and will always be my baby. If you are seriously interested, please let me know. Like I said, she's a great pup, but I just don't want to risk things with having a new born. I love her too much to put her in that position. s Please, no hate. We had to make this decision as a family and it was not an easy one.
