Scout - 1-Year-Old Husky/Blue Heeler Mix Looking for the Right Home We are looking to rehome our dog, Scout. This is a very difficult decision for our family, and not one we take lightly. Scout is a 1-year-old Husky/Blue Heeler mix with beautiful blue eyes and a lot of personality. He is very intelligent, energetic, and loves attention. He thrives when he has space to run and someone who can give him time, structure, and consistent training. That said, Scout has developed strong food-related territorial behavior in the home. We've had multiple incidents where he has bitten when food is involved. Because of this, he cannot be placed in a home with children and would do best with an experienced dog owner who understands behavioral training and is willing to work with him. With a baby arriving in early June, we cannot safely manage this risk, and our priority has to be the safety of our family. We truly believe Scout can do very well in the right environment-ideally: * Adult-only home * Experienced dog owner * Someone familiar with working breeds or behavioral issues * A home that can provide structure, training, and exercise We want to make sure he goes to a safe, responsible, and committed home.
