About Newie

[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] Newie is a 4 year old spayed female blue doberman. She is average energy and loves to cuddle on the couch with her humans and doggie companions or take long walks/hikes. Newie is house trained and can use a doggie door, but has frequent accidents due to urinary incontinence (could be related to her spay as per vet's opinion) and may require the use of a diaper. She is wonderfully friendly with all people and most dogs. She doesn't have a bite history and does not show extreme fearfulness or aggression. She will chase cats but has not attacked one yet. Newie is fantastic on and off leash with an optional ecollar for recall. She is loose on her sit and stay commands but is willing to learn with enough patience. We received Newie from a family member who had debilitating health issues and was no longer able to care for a dog her size. She has been a great companion to our pack, but we are also having issues with her energy levels and medical incontinence. We have consulted a vet about her medical issues but they have not been able to identify the cause of her incontinence. We have ruled out liver and kidney issues and UTIs as causes. She also has lost a significant amount of hair on her body, possibly due to allergic reaction to a flea medication that was applied when we first got her. She will come with her flat collar, medicated shampoo, food, shirts, a sweater, and lining pads for diapers (diapers not included). Please feel free to contact with any questions you have. We are hoping to have her rehomed by May 11th 2026. If we are unable to rehome her personally she will be surrendered to the Idaho Humane Society the following day.
