About Capone

Capone is a 7-year-old pug with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He came to us after his previous family had to make the difficult decision to rehome him due to a grandchild's allergies. Capone used to be known for his adorably quirky smile-his teeth stuck out in every direction, earning him the nickname 'Toofie.' After a recent dental, those signature teeth are gone, and he now looks surprisingly�'�| normal (we're still getting used to it!). At 30 pounds, Capone is currently on the chunky side and would benefit from a dedicated adopter who can help him slim down with regular walks and a healthy routine. He's a happy, affectionate little guy who absolutely loves attention and isn't shy about asking for it. True to his pug nature, he does snort quite a bit-but that just adds to his charm. Capone gets along well with other dogs but prefers doing his own thing rather than playing, so he'd be perfectly content as an only dog or with a calm canine companion. He hasn't been cat-tested, but we suspect he'd be fairly indifferent to them. He's neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm negative, with no known medical concerns aside from needing to lose a few pounds. Capone is looking for a home where he can be spoiled, loved, and gently encouraged to live his healthiest life. If you don't mind a snorting little 'bulldozer' who just wants to be near you, he might be your perfect match. His adoption fee is $275. Older gentle children only please.
