About Maple

'Look into my eyes....and you will see that I'm a good girl and you should adopt me!' Maple is a calm and loving, young dog who appears to be a herding dog mix. She is around a year old and weighs about 40 pounds. Maple is in a foster home with many other dogs. She is kind, gentle and receptive to training. She is a great medium sized and is used to being crated. She does still need some housetraining support but is learning quickly! Maple has a personality that would make her ideal for almost any family! Whether your are hitting the trails or lounging on the couch, this little lady will happily stay right by your side! Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster-based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
