About Smokey

PUPDATE: Smokey an awesome mix of blue heeler and Corgi! 1 to 2 years old | 24lbs | was kept with several chihuahuas cautious, keeps to herself. SHe LOVES her people. Like, deeply. She wants to be with you, work with you, and make you happy. She is very smart and very responsive. A simple 'uh-uh' and she checks herself and comes right back. That kind of softness and willingness to listen is something you cannot teach. Smokey is not a dog for a high-traffic home, but was raised with kids and other dogs. She just needs time. What she perfect for: A structured home; Someone who understands; A home that will have kind leadership; Dog savvy without being pushy, she needs direction. In the right home that will love her and be patient she is going to be incredible! .........Intake info: Smokey is currently in a temporary foster home. She is not leash trained. She is decompressing and adjusting to being in a home. Smokey had to be trapped, and we believe she was left outside most of the time. She has a very calm demeanor. Will need a calm patient person to help her adjust to a comfortable home life. She is heartworm positive and the rescue will pay for that. Right now a fenced yard another kind calm k9 and dog savvy people is what she needs. Smokey is afraid of broom sticks, mops and anything that resembles. She cowards down.
