Rescued from Downey Shelter, we believe she was likely used for breeding and then discarded, but you would never know it from the way she shows up in the world. Pearl is pure love. She has the softest, gentlest spirit and an immediate warmth that makes everyone around her feel at ease. To put it simply, Pearl is the dream dog. She is incredibly easygoing and adaptable, just as happy curled up beside you on the couch as she is quietly relaxing on her own while you are out of the house. She settles beautifully when left alone, making her an ideal companion for both working households and those who are home more often. There is a calm, grounded presence to her that feels rare, especially in a younger dog. Pearl embodies everything people love about pugs. She is affectionate without being demanding, playful in the sweetest, most low key way, and endlessly friendly. She greets everyone with softness, adults, children, and even babies, and has a natural gentleness that makes her incredibly trustworthy in a family setting. She is notably quiet and not a barker, preferring connection and closeness over chaos. She is fully house trained and has seamlessly transitioned into her loving foster home, as if she has been waiting her whole life for this chapter. Whether she is curled up next to you or resting her little head in your lap, Pearl's love is constant and uncomplicated. She asks for very little and gives absolutely everything in return.
