About PABLO

PABLO is a sweet, energetic 4-month-old, 19 pound Cocker Spaniel who was found as a stray. He is very much a puppy and needs a home with a family prepared to work with him and give him an outlet for his puppy energy. PABLO absolutely adores people. He is affectionate, loves to follow you everywhere, and is always ready for pets, belly rubs, and kisses. He wants to be part of everything you are doing and he is often under your feet or jumping up on your legs for attention. (Yes, he is a trip hazard!) PABLO is not a 'settle on his own all day' kind of dog. He needs an active home that will give him plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and guidance so he can grow into the wonderful dog he is meant to be. Without that, he will find his own entertainment, and for a curious puppy that might not be a good thing! PABLO does very well with other dogs and takes his cues from them, but he is an active, playful puppy who will need a young dog that can match his energy and a family committed to keeping him busy. He enjoys running, playing, and being part of the action, and he does best when he has interaction and engagement throughout the day. We imagine that he would be good with older kids that he can't overwhelm with his energy. Cats are an unknown. PABLO is smart and learns quickly, including outdoor potty training, but he is still in the learning phase of everything. He loves toys and play, but he also loves to chew, explore, and test boundaries, which means appropriate toys, redirection, and patience are a must. PABLO is good on a leash and rides nicely in the car. He will require a home with a securely fenced yard so he can safely run and play. At night, he enjoys curling up with his doggy friends and family and settling in for a good night's sleep, preparing for all of the fun he will get to experience the next day! PABLO is neutered, up to date on shots, has been started on heartworm prevention, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review. Important - check your spam folder for follow up questions and responses from our team. *A Place of Hope Rescue is a foster-based rescue located in Pensacola, Florida. We do not have a physical facility for visits. We adopt within a 6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally (within 1 hour to Pensacola). We do not ship or transport our dogs.
