Sunny is a 54-pound Husky/Shepherd mix. He is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and dewormed. He is trained on leash pressure and knows his basic obedience commands, including sit, down, come, and stay. He is potty trained and has good home manners. He was found as a stray at about 10 months old and then spent almost another 8 months in a shelter. He had a really hard time there and was constantly stressed. Since being in my home, he has become the happiest guy-always smiling. He loves to play with any dog that wants to run around with him, but once playtime is over, he's very chill. He's incredibly cute and quirky. His tongue is often sticking out, and his lips sometimes get caught on his teeth-sometimes both sides at once, which is adorable. He also has big, bright blue eyes with black 'eyeliner,' glowing tan fur, and big, quirky ears. Sunny loves to cuddle. He usually snuggles up next to me at night and is always ready for a nap during the day. He 'boops' with his nose a lot-usually right on my nose-which I think is his way of giving kisses. Watching him run is so fun-he kind of bounces. He loves being outside and will ask to go out just to sit on the stairs and take everything in. When I first got him, he seemed scared to 'talk.' He does have the classic Husky awoos, but he still sounds like a puppy and doesn't vocalize often. When he does, it feels special to hear. His favorite thing is belly rubs. Sometimes he makes little noises like he's overwhelmed in the best way and doesn't know how to handle how good they feel. Don't worry-I have videos. Sunny has no sensitive or reactive spots on his body. He plays appropriately with other dogs and does well with cats and children. It's pretty clear he experienced abuse from a man before coming to the shelter. I am a certified dog trainer and canine behavioral specialist, and I regularly foster dogs to help them transition into a better life. Sunny and I have been working on building his confidence around men. He has made great progress with the men he knows, but new men still take time. He may back away when they try to get physically close, but he shows no aggression at all-he just creates distance. The home I hope for Sunny is one with a yard where he can run as much as he like. That his primary handler be a woman and that the home has another dog he can play with. If you'd like more pictures or videos, feel free to text me. Thank you, Jubilee
