[Read About Natural Seizure Care] %90%BE Meet Zuko %90%BE Zuko is a 4 year old Siberian Husky (turning 5 on October 11th) who is looking for a committed, understanding home. This has been an incredibly difficult decision, and my only goal is to find him a safe place where he can truly thrive. ժ Personality He is very people friendly and loves attention. He's a sweet, affectionate dog who enjoys being around his people and soaking up love. Like most huskies, he has a strong, confident personality and a lot of energy. %8F Ideal Home Maybe best as the only pet, or with a very experienced owner who understands slow, careful introductions Does not tend to do well with small animals (cats, small dogs, etc.) Older kids (around 7+) would be best Someone familiar with huskies or strong willed breeds would be ideal s%A0%8F Behavior Notes He is not the best with the majority of small animals. With larger dogs, he can come on too strong and it can lead to negative interactions. He grew up around one specific cat since he was 12 weeks old and is good with him, but he can get a little rough at times, but listens when told to settle down. So caution is always needed. Because of this, I believe he would do best in a home where he can have his own space. He is high energy and can be overwhelming for younger children, as he doesn't always understand personal space (jumping, licking, etc.). ٩ Medical Needs Epilepsy Currently on medication every 12 hours to help manage occasional seizures Has pancreatitis and must stay on a strict low-fat diet (no human food) His seizures are currently occasional and being managed with medication, and he has been doing well so far. The Basics House trained Up to date on vaccinations Not neutered Why I'm Rehoming I have had a baby, and after a lot of back and forth over the past several months, I've realized it is a struggle to be able to give him the level of attention, structure, and supervision he truly needs-especially with his medical and behavioral needs. He deserves his needs to be met and consistent monitoring rather than being juggled between two very important things. %9D%A4%8F The Right Home He is a good dog with a big personality and lots of love to give. He just needs the right environment and someone willing to understand him and work with him. I know he may not be the easiest dog to place, but I have hope that there is someone out there willing to take on my sweet boy. I am happy to provide vet records, more details, and answer any questions.
