About Quinn

This little girl has been in 3 homes in her 1st year of life. She was taken from mom early and missed out on some socialization with siblings. She came to us due to health problems of her orginal owner and the family who was going to watch her said they could not keep her anymore. It was supposed to be temporary but she has been with us for almost a year. We have 2 pets of our own and she tries to be domninant and wants to play but doesn't understand or respect body language telling her to stop. She is not overly aggressive but very bossy and dominating and plays too rough. She is very smart and knows all the basics, sit, stay, down etc. She just struggles with other animals and getting in their faces because she wants to play. I have never had her around children so I can't say she would be bad with them. Older children 10 + would be better. It may be difficult to find the unicorn family that she needs but I want to try if possible. She has to be separated a lot from my other animals because of her need to boss and play rough. If you have experience with dog training, paitence, love and can see a diamond in the ruff she might be the girl for you. She has a high prey drive so might do well with that. She is very fearless and athletic and could be trained for agility. She likes to trot on the treadmill and zip around the backyard. She gets bored with toys so I cycle them in and out to keep her interested. She loves puzzle toys and chew toys but stuffed toys don't last long. I think in a home where she is the only one and gets proper training she will grow into a wonderful dog. The perfect people/person would be active with plenty of time for her, have a fenced yard and feed good quality real meat food.She has come a long way since she has been with us and with more attention would really thrive. The original owner wants us to pay to keep her and it is way over the amount I am asking. I am covering the rest and also donating to the site.
