Meet Otis ժ Otis is a young, handsome boy (I estimate no more than 3 years old, if that) who was sadly found roaming the streets-no microchip, unneutered, and with parasites. Despite that rough start, his spirit couldn't be sweeter. I'm not exactly sure of his breed (my favorite breed is 'rescue' anyway), but he appears to have some English Bulldog in him'| and 100% adorable mixed in. He weighs about 37 lbs and could stand to gain a little weight as he continues to thrive. Otis is a loving, playful, and affectionate dog who brings smiles everywhere he goes-seriously, his face stops people in their tracks. He has a good amount of energy but also a gentle, passive demeanor. While he hasn't shown any aggression, I'm unsure how he would respond if another dog challenged him, so a proper introduction is important. His compatibility with cats is unknown, so I recommend a home without them to be safe. He seems like he would do well with children, but due to his strength and enthusiasm, a home with slightly older kids would be best. Otis isn't much of a barker, but he is currently marking his territory (he was found unneutered), which is something that should improve with time, patience, and consistency. His future family should be understanding and willing to work with him-using a belly band initially can help set him up for success. Crate training is also encouraged (never as punishment, but as a safe space and training tool). Otis has been through a lot and deserves a stable, loving forever home where he can finally feel safe and secure. If you're looking for a loyal, joyful companion and are willing to give him the guidance he needs, Otis just might be your perfect match. My biggest addiction is empathy, and it's very hard for me to turn my back on a dog. I've been trying to curtail rescuing, because I was diagnosed with cancer 5 years ago. I actually had surgery September 4th, 2024, and was in the hospital for 2 months due to complications and infections and again recently 2 days before this past Thanksgiving. When they came to me for help to find Otis the home he needs, I just couldn't say no, as I know Im really good at matching appropriately, and it was important to me that he is carefully and properly placed. My goal is to make sure Otis finds a final forever loving home. If you are in a home, please privacy fences only...no chainlink/see through fences. My goal is to make sure I get Otis the home that he needs and deserves with someone who will love him and give him all the care and attention and affection that he deserves for the rest of his life and be able to be committed to him physically, mentally, emotionally and financially. The best thing I could possibly do for Otis is to find him a forever loving home where he will be happy ..'Till death do you part'. . I have made the commitment to Otis to make sure I find him the opportunity to find the right home he needs and deserves. My promise to him now is to make sure I find him the best forever home with one who will love him for the rest of his life ....an individual or family who will continue to let me know how wonderfully he is doing. Otis will be your best friend. Will you be his?? I am looking to find the perfect person / couple / family who will give him as much as he deserves. HE IS THE FRIEND YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AND WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER...WILL YOU LOVE HIM? Otis is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm tested, heartworm negative, on heartworm & flea/tick prevention, microchipped (and microchip remains in my name indefinitely for his/her safety...more than happy to explain) & if u adopt him, you MUST keep him on both & up to date with yearly check ups & vaccines. A phone interview, home check, vet reference check and rehoming fee of $650 will be required.. PLS DONT EMAIL (WILL NOT REPLY).....PLS CALL Heather 954-534-5606 w/any questions/interest. Let's give this sweet boy the second chance he deserves %90%BE
