About Luna

Luna is an 11 lb, 1.5 year old Yorkie Mix being fostered in Crestview, FL. Small Dog, Big Personality (and an Even Bigger Opinion of Herself!) Breed: Yorkie Mix | Energy Level: Playful with a growing 'chill' side. Health Status: Fully vetted (up to date on vaccines, spay, Microchip, preventatives, and care) Luna is a lively little Yorkie mix with a curious spirit and a big sense of adventure. She firmly believes the world is her playground-and she intends to inspect every inch of it. Luna is always entertaining, whether she's sprinting around the yard or relaxing with a chew toy after an active day. Over the past month, Luna has really come into her own. The nervous energy she arrived with has mellowed out, and she's discovered the fine art of 'doing absolutely nothing' �'�| at least for short periods of time. She now balances her busy schedule of playtime with some well-earned relaxation. That said, she'll still require a steady supply of durable chew toys (Nylabones or similar) to stay happily occupied-consider it her version of a hobby. Her Specialized Skills: Head of Security: She still takes her 'home security' role seriously and likes to check her surroundings, but she's made great progress and no longer barks at everything. She responds well to guidance and understands a firm 'no,' making her a smart and trainable companion. The Social Butterfly: Luna loves other dogs and would thrive with a playful canine companion who can keep up with her energy. (Note: She's requested a cat-free home, as she finds them a bit too interesting to chase!) Training: She has mastered the doggie door and while we are home she currently enjoys free roam of the house like the tiny queen she is. She understands that outside is the place for potty business but will need a consistent routine to stay on track. Because she's small but mighty, her future family should be mindful of outdoor safety and doggie door access, especially in areas where outdoor predators may be a concern . Luna knows how to sit when asked and is in the process of learning the down (lay down) command. The Nightly Routine: At bedtime, Luna clocks out and sleeps in her crate with minimal fuss-because even tiny supervisors need their beauty sleep. Luna's Perfect Match: An active home that can provide both fun and structure, along with plenty of toys to keep her busy and out of 'creative mischief mode.' A doggy sibling would be a major bonus in her eyes.
