Description: Meet Honey, a stunning ginger-coated beauty who is the definition of a loyal companion. Honey is a sophisticated mix-with the alert ears of a Basenji and the sturdy, athletic frame of a Carolina Dog(especially those upright 'satellite' ears), does anyone else see Corgi in there???!! She weighs a perfect 39 pounds and is a 'ready-made' house dog. Skills & Manners: Honey is a dream in the home. She is fully house-trained and non-destructive. She has mastered her basics and is a focused learner who lives to please her person. If you are looking for a 'Velcro dog' who wants to be by your side while you work or relax, Honey is your girl. Social Life: Honey is a people-person! While she is shy in brand-new environments, she warms up quickly to become a total cuddle-bug. She is currently fostered with junior-high-aged children and does great with respectful young adults. Like many athletic 'herder' types, she can be rambunctious on a leash when she sees other dogs, so she'll appreciate a home that continues to reinforce her leash manners. Play & Activity: Honey is a 'balanced' energy dog. She has an 'off-switch' inside but turns into an elite activity partner outdoors. She walks well with her balanced dog pals and would love a yard for zoomies or a hiking partner for weekend adventures. She has successfully coexisted with other balanced dogs. Health & Location: Honey is already spayed, her microchip and vaccinations are pending. She is currently located in Buellton/Southern CA and is ready to find her forever leader.
