About Charlie

Charlie is a gentle, sweet-natured Border Collie mix looking for the life he was always meant to live - wide open spaces, fresh air, and the company of other dogs. Rescued three months ago from a hoarding situation, Charlie spent 28 months kenneled. He's come a long way, but he's still adjusting to the world. Indoor living feels overwhelming to him right now - he's much happier and more relaxed outside, doing what Border Collies are born to do. He is wonderfully social with other dogs of all sizes and temperaments. His sweet disposition shines when he's in the company of canine friends. He does not reliably come when called, so a securely fenced property or rural acreage is a must and walking him off leash away from home can be problematic Charlie thrives with: Farm or rural property Secure outdoor space Other dogs in the home Patient, experienced owner Things to know: Does not come when called Uncomfortable indoors Charlie deserves a soft landing after a hard start. If you have the space, the patience, and a canine companion or two to welcome him, he will reward you with steadfast loyalty and a gentle heart.
