Dewey is a ASDR registered one year old Mini Australian Shepherd. He is about 25 lbs and 15 inches tall. He is heart-worm negative, neutered and up to date on his rabies vaccine. lives up to the shepherd breed. I believe the best home for him would be working on a farm. He loves to run and jump. He currently has four cat siblings that he gets along with while indoors. However, when they are outside he wants to run and chase. He isn't around other dogs much aside from neighboring dogs. He mostly likes to run along the fence line 'chasing' them. He does well with kids but probably not any under the age of 5 as I would imagine he would love to herd them. I am sure with proper time and training he could do really well with younger kids. He had never shown any aggression, he just is a little clumsy and may knock over new walkers/ toddlers. He is very smart and can problem solve on his own very well. There has been a major shift in our family dynamic which leaves him at home a lot and I can tell he is sad. As much as I hurts me to give him up, I feel like I am hurting him more by leaving him home alone all the time. Please let me know if Dewey sounds like a good fit for you.
