We can connect you to a rescue if you can foster or foster to adopt. Emergency/soon to be euthanized! We are in urgent need of finding a kind foster, or foster to adopt for dear 'CLIFF', a sweet young boy who looks like a mini Chow/Golden Retriever mix weighing only 39 lbs and estimated to be only 2 years old. He was found as a stray by a good Samaritan and it was reported she: 'STUMBLED ACROSS A DOG THAT WAS SITTING IN FRONT OF HER DOOR. UPON APPROACH, THE DOG WAS BARKING AT THE FINDER. THE FINDER LEFT AND WHEN SHE RETURNED AROUND 2PM, THE DOG WAS STILL THERE. FINDER THEN GAVE HIM WATER AS HE WAS LAYING DOWN.FINDER'S DAUGHTER APPROACHED THE DOG AND HE NO LONGER WAS BARKING AND ALLOWED ALL PETTING. FINDER'S DAUGHTER WAS ABLE TO PICK UP THE DOG AND PLACE INSIDE THE VEHICLE.' Despite him being easy to handle by the finder and her minor daughter, Cliff was sadly made Rescue only because he was scared at the shelter. He unfortunately has been placed on a short deadline before being euthanized. His additional behavior and medical details may be found on this link: https://apps.pets.maricopa.gov/pri.../Details/OTI5-MzM5-MTBB Following this, a volunteer just visited with Cliff, and you can see how this boy warmed up and seeks attention and love in the video provided. We are urgently looking for ideally a foster or foster to adopt for Cliff. This shelter has made many chow and chow mixes Rescue only, and already killed many who were also shy and young adults. Please do not let this young boy meet the same awful fate. If you may be interested in fostering, fostering to adopt, or helping in some other way (ie., pledging for his rescue), please email: [email protected] asap at Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to find placement asap, AND also fill out a foster application on https://dogfoster.org/ and https://azfosters.com/ so all entities can work on pairing a foster to a rescue group to help. Rescues can assist with neuter and medical. Rescue groups may contact the shelter directly at [email protected] and by calling 602-506-7387 and providing ID.
