Dog Background / Reason for Surrender We found him approximately two years ago as a stray and made every effort to locate an owner, but no one came forward. Since then, he has been part of our home and very well cared for. Due to a change in our circumstances, we are no longer able to provide the environment he deserves and are seeking placement in a stable, long-term home. Breed (Best Guess) German Wirehaired Pointer (possibly a mix) Temperament & Personality He is a loving, loyal, silly and people-oriented dog who enjoys being close to his humans. He is eager to please, thrives on structure, and has a sweet, affectionate nature. Training & Care Professionally trained with a solid foundation in basic commands and routine. He is fully house-trained and kennel-trained. He has also been professionally groomed on a regular schedule and is accustomed to handling and care. Behavior with People & Other Animals He is generally friendly with people and has done well with other pets when introduced appropriately. Loves to be with people. So loyal and sweet. Additional Notes (Important for Placement) He does best in a home that provides structure, clear boundaries, and respectful handling. He can become uncomfortable if physically forced or rushed (for example, being pulled from his kennel before he's ready), and may react defensively in those moments. With proper handling and consistency, he is very loving and well-behaved.
