About Shayla

Baby Shayla is an energetic and incredibly affectionate dog! Highly social, she loves meeting new people and making friends. She's playful, funny, and energetic. A dog who's always ready for adventure, Shayla needs exercise, playtime, and enrichment games. She's not the dog for couch potatoes! Shayla needs a family to match her big personality and love for activity. She has already begun training, so it's vital she has an experienced dog owner who will continue working on the skills her trainer and foster have taught her. What's great is she has all the attributes of an ideal student! She's eager and food-motivated, and loves being with people. Shayla started training very young because of extra puppy mouthiness and food guarding. She loves any outlet that involves using her mouth - tug, balls, and chew toys. Her adopter will need to understand and manage the food issues with clear, yet loving, boundaries. She'd appreciate a separate area for her dining pleasure along with positive and consistent reinforcement for her good manners. Small and adorable now, she's likely a bully mix who will grow into a muscular adult in due time! Shayla's ideal home has experienced adults, possibly teenagers, but no small children.
