Penelope is an adorable 2-year-old dog, weighing a healthy 24 pounds. With her gentle spirit, she radiates sweetness and simply longs for love and companionship. She has been spayed, is up to date on her vaccinations, and is microchipped. Additionally, she has tested negative for both heartworm and Lyme disease, ensuring she's in great health. This charming pup has a friendly disposition, getting along well with most other dogs and all humans she meets. Although she initially struggled with leash walking-having never encountered one before-she has made impressive progress and now walks with only minimal issues. Penelope is a bundle of joy who loves to run and play in an energetic burst of enthusiasm. After her playful adventures, she enjoys curling up next to her humans for some cozy cuddles, soaking in all the affection she can get. With resilience that shines through, she refuses to let her past define her and is determined to embrace a bright and happy future. Please note that we are not a no-kill shelter, and we must make tough decisions regarding animals who are ill or aggressive. **Adoption Fees: ** - $165 for dogs under 5 years old - $100 for dogs over 5 years old - $200 for cell dogs. Your adoption fee covers vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella), microchipping, heartworm and Lyme testing, rabies vaccination, spay/neuter, and a dog license. All dogs must be spayed or neutered before leaving the shelter; if this hasn't been done, we'll schedule an appointment for you. **Payment: ** We accept cash only-no checks, debit, or credit cards, please.
