About Beau

Beau is a very intelligent, loyal standard poodle that we've had for the past 3 years. He was previously used as a breeding dog and has adjusted well to family life in many ways. He is timid at first but becomes very affectionate and loves attention once he warms up. He has been great with our family and our kids love him. That said, Beau is extremely smart and an escape artist. He has learned how to open doors several doors (including sliding glass doors) and has gotten out multiple times. His hunting instincts come out pretty strong toward chickens and small livestock and he would need to go to a home without these animals. We want to find him a home where he can thrive and be properly handled. We are committed to making sure he goes to a good home.
