About Nillie

Adoption Fee: $50
Great Pyrenees mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Nillie (can be renamed, does NOT answer to this) was picked up as a very pregnant stray in Fort Worth on valentine's day. On 2/21 she had a litter of 10, lost one 3 days later, 9 are thriving and 6 weeks old as of 4/4! They will be in a separate post. I think she is about 2 years old. Definitely a Great Pyrenees mix, and is 70-75 lb. A DNA test is pending for the puppies, this will help narrow down what she is, but it won't separate maternal/paternal DNA. I have 4 dogs and am keeping a puppy. I wanted to keep her, but I also have 2 cats and her prey drive is on a crazy level for cats. The cat test was concerning to say the least. Reasonable for squirrels, but cats are an entirely different story. She is house-broken to the nines! This poor girl had the worst postpartum watery diarrhea for weeks and never once has had an accident in the house since 2/14!!! Her stool is normal now, don't worry. Vet sent out a fecal test, no parasites, but I've been worming her along with the puppies anyway. She is great with people and 3 of my 4 dogs, including my 17 yr old chihuahua! The GSD and lab/pyr mix were good, my chow/pyr mix was not. She didn't start a fight, they could definitely coexist or even learn to love each other, but she tried to eat my cats so I haven't worked with her and my chow/pyr mix. She HAS NOT been kid tested since I don't have kids. I have no reason to believe kids would be a problem, but I can't say either way. She is over the puppies and has stopped nursing, so she can go to her new home immediately. She is super sweet, likes cuddles but is also independent. She has not been crated and has been in a room full of things to tear up. She bit a shelf 3 times when I took her failure to thrive 3 day old puppy to the vet. I feel like that's totally fair, and it is clearly 3 bite marks, not chewing. She hasn't done anything destructive since then. She doesn't bark hardly ever either. She really is the perfect dog aside from the cat thing. I just have no reasonable way to indefinitely keep her separated from the cats. Rehoming fee negotiable, I know I won't come close to making up the money spent on a litter I had no supplies for lol. It's not about the money, it's about getting them all to good homes! We are in Cleburne but will meet in DFW! Comment if you message me, otherwise I'll probably miss it.
