About Max

Meet Max Max is our granddog. Our son-in-law and daughter needed to move into a place that does not allow animals. We told them we would take Max for them and find him a caring, loving forever home. That is our intention with this posting. We've had him since the fall. We've grown very attached to him and he's a wonderful dog, but are just now trying to find a home for him because we're really not set up to have another dog. We know of no health problems and he shows no sign of any health problems. This sweet boy enjoys being with you at all times and is always up for an adventure. He's protective but hasn't bitten anyone. Max is good with kids and cats and would love to play with our elderly dog but she is not up for it. He's estimated to be 4-5 yrs old. He's current on his vaccinations, flea and preventative heartworm medicine. He is crate/kennel trained, house trained, and knows the difference between his toys vs kid toys. He's never tried to get anything off of our tables or counters. He's well mannered. Never been food aggressive towards humans, but not sure what he would do with another dog. He does respect our elderly dogs food and respects her space and lets her eat without bothering her. He's kennel/crate trained. He quietly sleeps through the night with the exception of one night, he whimpered a little bit because he needed to go out and go poop. He settles down in the house fine, but really does need a home with someone that can get out with him and exercise. He is full of energy and excited and exuberant about doing things with you, especially going outside for walks and play. He is not the type of dog that would be content to just be out in someone's yard left alone. His heart's desire is to be your companion. He knows his name very well and loves to respond to you quickly.
