About Calvin

Calvin has a lot going for him, but this reads a bit dense and could be tightened to sound more polished, confident, and adoption-focused. Here's a stronger version with better flow: Calvin is a young purebred German Shorthaired Pointer looking for an experienced and active home. He recently graduated from our trainer's Board and Train program and is prong and e-collar conditioned with a solid training foundation already in place. He is fully up to date on all veterinary care and monthly preventatives, with no known health issues or allergies. Calvin is house trained, crate trained at night and when left alone, and enjoys structure in the home. He is being rehomed due to severe littermate syndrome that has created conflict with the family's other dog. In most incidents, the other dog has been the instigator. Outside of that home dynamic, Calvin has consistently tested well with other dogs and does well in playgroups. Calvin loves being outdoors and would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can run, explore, and enjoy an active lifestyle. He is energetic and athletic, but not as over-the-top as many GSPs can be, making him a great introduction to the breed for the right family. He is social with people and does well with children. He does have high prey drive, so no small animals. For adopters within an hour of Parrish, free follow-up training sessions are included. Calvin would make an excellent active companion or even a nice lower-level demo dog for another trainer. Serious inquiries only for this handsome guy.
