I'm looking to find our foster Luka a fitting home! He's an older (about 7/8 year old) husky mix. We don't have a ton of details on his past - only that he has been at the Kitimat Humane Society for ~2 years. He has transitioned very well to home life and is getting used to routines quickly. Walks are very enjoyable so long as he can sniff to his heart's content. He's not a jumper and wouldn't make a good running companion, due to his aging hips. In the yard, he'll generally stick to sniffing around or lounging on the porch. We do restrict him to a corner of the yard when we're gardening, as he tries to one-up the shovel. We're learning new tricks speedy fast and training recall everyday. Above all, this goofball enjoys a good cuddle. He's great with people, and loves other dogs. We are unsure of how he does with cats, though there were many he happily coexisted with at the shelter. Here is the link to his adoption profile: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/63afdd7b455565359977dcaf/6709bc0a8634552bb202a978 . Happy to answer any questions or set-up a meeting. Though we are currently on the North Coast, we would consider a road trip for the right fit.
