Henry is the kind of dog who doesn't need to do much to win you over - his calm presence and gentle nature do that all on their own! This gorgeous yellow Lab clearly had a home at some point, arriving already neutered and with an unregistered microchip, but sadly no one ever came looking for him. A good Samaritan shared that Henry had actually been hanging around their neighborhood since last summer, making it all the more clear that he's been on his own for far too long. Despite his hardships, Henry has held onto his sweet nature. He's incredibly simple to handle - he leashes up without fuss and walks right by your side at a slow, relaxed pace. No pulling, no chaos, just a quiet stroll with a steady companion. His energy level is on the lower side, and he seems happiest simply sitting next to you, soaking up affection. If you've got time to pet him, Henry will gladly stay right there and enjoy every second. He's not very interested in toys or treats right now, which could just be him settling in, and he can come across a little unsure at times. But his sweetness is constant. Henry would do best with someone who appreciates a calm, slower for life. After spending so long fending for himself, he deserves a soft place to land - and he's more than ready to be someone's loyal, gentle companion.
