About Taittinger

Adoption Fee: $0
Siberian Husky / German Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Taittinger arrived at the shelter on March 24th, as an owner surrender. Specific reason for surrender not provided, but reported as an abandoned confiscate, which possibly means the owner passed away, but can also mean other things. He is a Husky-German Shepherd mix, about 2 years old. Taittinger is being taught basic manners at the shelter as did not come in with them, volunteers report he is eager to learn and has a sweet, soft personality. Large dogs don't tolerate being caged up in kennels well for such long periods as experienced in shelters (practically 25/7), besides the kennels being relatively small for larger breeds of dogs. Huskies and Shepherds tolerate it even worse, since are active dogs, need physical and mental stimulation, besides proper training by their humans, being caged up so much in such an environment can be even more stressful than for some other breeds. Since they don't tolerate well, at risk of possibly being 'humanely' euthanized, tragically, due to mental distress, the longer they stay at the shelter. Taittinger will be spayed by the shelter once adopted, at no charge, same for microchipping and core vaccines. Please, come out to meet him, see if hit it off, possibly save his life. Contact this page for further information and regarding meeting process. He can also be fostered/fostered to adopt, through a rescue organization, which I can direct you in how to go about it, if interested.
