If you have never had a Great Pyrenees, you are in for a treat. I am all the fabulous things in them, and I am so majestic. My loyalty is what you will know more than any other quality of mine. Where you are is where I will be, and I want it that way. I will come over to where you are at the table, at the sink, outside gardening, watching tv. I am your best friend, and best friends don't leave you. My companionship is never-ending and always present. Your touch on my face is so welcome. Putting your head on my head and cupping my face with your hands shows me your tenderness and allows me to share my peaceful and loving nature with you. I am very quiet, even when I walk. You will wonder how something that looks so large can enter a room so stealthily and just suddenly be there. When I bark, which is very seldom, it is less of those high-pitched barks and more like a rumble. It is only if I see something I think you should be alerted to, but I am very discerning about when I think it's something you should be knowing. An ideal home for me would be somewhere will a large securely fenced in area, as I want to feel free to get big runs in and know that I will never be trapped in a cage again. Even with all that land, though, I find my way back to your side after I get my run of it. I enjoy walks and even sitting in parks and taking in different sounds and smells. I have gone to fenced dog parks with a dozen or so dogs and have had no reaction to them. I love car rides and sit calmly and quietly until we arrive at our destination. I can easily jump into the car and onto the bed, too. I am probably about 75 pounds, though don't know for sure as I don't bother to weigh myself. When you look this good, why bother with such a superficial number, right? I am 4-years old, neutered, and current on all my vaccines.
