Winter is a spayed female, approximately 5 years old, who is microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. She is on a hydrolyzed protein diet and may have a sensitivity to carpet/nylon, though this has not been officially diagnosed. She had her TPLO surgery last year. She is house trained, crate trained, and knows all basic commands - she is food motivated and picks up training quickly. At home, Winter is loyal, affectionate, and loving; she thrives with her owners and enjoys napping and playing tug. She would do best with a large family and a yard. However, she has extreme fear reactivity - sudden noises or movements can trigger aggression - and has demonstrated severe separation anxiety on two occasions over the past year. We have owned her for one year and are surrendering her because we live in an apartment and feel we are unable to adequately manage her reactivity in that environment. She is truly the best dog at home and deserves a setting where she can flourish.
