About Augie

Augie is loving and wonderful with all in our family and our close friends. He is high energy and would love to run around, play fetch and tussle nearly all day if he could. I thought I could provide him with enough activity but unfortunately it seems I cannot. I believe he would thrive on a farm or in a home with a big family and space to run around. His best quality is that he loves to be loved and cuddled. He plays with his 2 cat brothers constantly and is great with them. He is however reactive with other dogs and strangers, even if they are just walking across the street. He has never bitten anyone but has nipped at a neighbors' leg, even though he was familiar with her. He also barks and jumps at the front door when nearly anyone passes buy. My front door has window panes throughout so he sees every one. I love him but believe he will be happiest in a home with a more active and open environment than I can provide for him.
