Howie is a very friendly & easy-going 13 year old senior that arrived to the shelter on 1/29/26 as a 'stray', he already had a microchip with a confirmed date of birth & owner that never came forward for their beloved senior dog. Howie has been trying to make the best of the last 3 months stuck at the shelter & quickly became a staff & volunteer favorite being such a joyful attention-seeking dog. Despite his age Howie is still very much #PrettySpryForaWhiteGuy & LOVES spending his time with volunteers out on walks saying 'hello' to everyone.�%A0 Sadly Howie has continually been losing weight at the shelter, a recent exam also discovered a large mass in his upper abdomen that needs more thorough examination by a specialist ASAP. Due to Howie's deteriorating physical condition at the shelter and poor quality of life with a ticking-time-bomb mass in his chest that requires more resources than a shelter can provide Howie needs immediate rescue with placement no later than end of day Friday April 24th 2026.
