About Banjo

Meet Banjo Banjo is a 5-year-old standard Bull Terrier currently fostered in Southwest Arkansas, with transport available for the right home. He is neutered, fully vetted, and up to date on vaccinations. Banjo originally came into rescue in May 2023 after being pulled from the euthanasia list at the San Antonio, Tx shelter. Since then, he's been adopted twice and unfortunately returned to rescue both times. His most recent return was not because of anything Banjo did-the resident female dog repeatedly went after him, and ultimately the home was no longer a safe or comfortable place for him. Banjo has previously been considered dog friendly, but after everything he's been through, we are looking for a home where Banjo can be the only dog. At five years old and after two unsuccessful placements, he deserves the stability of a home where he doesn't have to compete for space, attention, or safety. We want his next home to be his last. Banjo is affectionate, playful, athletic, and full of that unmistakable Bull Terrier personality. He enjoys getting out for walks and adventures, loves attention from his people, and has plenty of goofy charm to keep you laughing. He's an active companion without being a youngster who needs to be entertained every second of the day. More than anything, Banjo needs someone willing to look beyond the fact that he's been returned and see the dog standing in front of them. He has already survived the shelter, made it off the euthanasia list, and tried twice to settle into a forever home. This time, we're looking for forever. Banjo is available to an only-dog home where he can finally unpack his bags, claim the best spot in the house, and never have to wonder where he's going next.
