Duke is a very loving dog who does well with female dogs (scared of male dogs). We have tried numerous rescues and due to his past abuse he is very anxious and has severe separation anxiety they were not able to get him fostered, we rescued him from Fairbanks Golden Retriever Rescue in Alaska where he was rescued from a village that locked him in a caged and shot him with BB guns. He does very well with young kids and visitors he is just an attention barker (have not ever had an aggression situation). Duke likes to be a couch potato and loves to cuddle. He is not kennel trained due to his past fears but does not tear anything up around the house or use the restroom in the house. We have seriously tried everything to get him rehomed but due to his anxiety and fear of other male dogs we have been turned down, our next steps are humane euthanasia (which we do not want to happen). Our son (3yo) loves Duke but is allergic to his hair and breaks out so it's hard for him to get to play with Duke and we are moving soon and really need help rehoming him or our only option is to euthanize him. Duke will do best in a single family home with either land or a fenced in back yard because he loves to run around and play outside.
