Help!!! I am a good boy. At risk of being euthanized when the shelter gets over-capacity, which it often does, tragically, since am considered a longer-term doggie here. If I am one of the doomed, will then be dumped into a black, trash bag..., as if not worthy to be loved, of love, to love. I came to the shelter on March 4th as a stray, so skinny my ribs were sticking out, exhausted from trying to survive on the streets by myself. I am now filling out nicely, bit by bit. The volunteers say I am a very sweet boy. Am pretty good with my sit, love my treats, take them gently from the volunteers, am a gentle type of doggie. I am mostly alone, lonely, here, since there are so many doggies, not enough volunteers to take us out much. I met a dog on leash, and was very interested in the doggie, wanted to play energetically. Please come meet me, show me I am worthy, take me home. Come. Human speaking here now, please, please, if have the ability to adopt, even foster Vidal (different process-which I can explain), any of the dogs listed at the shelter on here, many more that aren't listed, come out to Chicago Animal Care and Control, contact this page. These dogs aren't 'just' at risk of being euthanized, very real risk, tragic on its own, but spend most of their time in their kennels, only get out twice a week for 20 minutes, which is a tragedy upon a tragedy, to be locked up almost 24/7. It shows what great dogs they are, that they are able to still continue to be great, even though caged up so much of the time. Any dog that is adopted, will be spayed/neutered by the shelter at no charge, same with microchipping, core vaccines.
