Hello, I'm reaching out in hopes of finding rescue placement for Bo, who urgently needs to be rehomed due to a change in circumstances. Bo is a very loved dog. His original owner is currently incarcerated, and our family stepped in to care for him. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we have not been able to provide the level of activity, structure, and time that Bo truly needs and deserves. It's become clear that he is not in the right environment, and we want to do right by him. Bo is incredibly smart, deeply loving, and one of those dogs that truly stands out. He has a soulful presence-you can feel it when you're around him. He forms strong bonds and wants nothing more than to be close to his person. He is not your average dog. Over the past six months, without proper stimulation and structure, he has developed some behavioral challenges, including moments of aggression. He will need an experienced handler or rescue familiar with his breed who can provide training, consistency, and leadership. Recently, Bo got out of the front door as a neighbor was entering and chased/jumped on a woman, scratching her with his nail. There was no bite and no attempt to bite, but due to this incident, he can no longer remain in the home. He has been great with kids historically, but given the recent behaviors, we would not recommend placing him in a home with children at this time out of an abundance of caution. Bo has so much potential. He is highly intelligent, attentive, and very connected to people. We truly believe that in the right hands-with proper structure and training-he could thrive, and possibly even excel in specialized training environments. We are urgently seeking a rescue, experienced foster, or any guidance on placement. We love him and want to make sure he gets the life he deserves. Thank you so much for your time and for everything you do.
