He's 3 yrs old and was surrendered to the shelter last month when his owner was fleeing domestic violence. His owner said Sebastian was a victim of the abuse too. Their ex kicked him against the wall and hit him. Despite all of this, they said Sebastian was not aggressive. He was a friendly boy, could sometimes be fearful and shy. They emphasized how much he loved to cuddle (they mentioned it 3 times in his notes!). They said he was good with kids and other dogs and that he was an 'overall great dog.' We've seen Sebastian's resilience firsthand. Despite his heartbreaking history, this boy has shown nothing but love. When we visited him in his kennel over the weekend, all he wanted was to stay close, hopeful for a little kindness in this chaotic place %9D%A4%8F Sebastian has been in playgroup 3 times since arriving to the shelter. He was noted to be tolerant of the other dogs in 2 of the outings but can be sexually motivated (he's not neutered). Sadly, Sebastian has been on kennel confinement for 3 weeks now due to an upper respiratory infection. Supervisors are now saying he's showing signs of kennel stress (barking, anxious pacing, and walking in circles). For that reason, they have added him to the URGENT LIST. He is not euth listed yet, but can be at any time now s we are hoping to get him to safety before that time comes. Please consider helping our friend. He's waiting at South LA Shelter.
