Name: Smokey (he doesn't respond to it, probably not original name) Age: the vet guessed 2 years Color: Black w/ white belly Weight: 15lbs Sex: neutered male (does not spray) Declawed: No Good with dogs: Allegedly, but unconfirmed. Good with cats: Maybe with careful integration; he fights with strays. Good with kids: Probably, but unconfirmed; very patient and gentle. Vaccines: Only rabies for now, full set pending financial availability. Health issues: Dental disease, vet scheduled for April 27th. Missing upper fang, more extractions possible post dental visit. Behavioral issues: Incessant meower when wants something. Needs constant human companionship; does not do well indoors alone for long periods. Finicky drinker; water down wet food to ensure adequate hydration. Occasional scarf & barf with high value foods. No furniture/carpet scratching behavior noticed; seems to prefer to scratch outdoors on trees, etc. Grooming: Fairly easy to bathe & clip nails (complains, but doesn't attack). Will tolerate brushing, but doesn't like it for long. Adequately grooms himself. No issues with hairballs or matting. Litter trained: Yes, never any issues. Mouser: Yes, will consume prey whole; NO RODENT POISON Diet: currently on all wet diet for hydration, but loves kibble. Not a picky eater, but not food motivated except for treats. Loves catnip, can sprinkle on low value food to encourage eating. Loves milk, guard your cereal bowl. Personality: Lap cat, heavy sleeper, needs outdoor space, not big on toys, enjoys occasional 'hand wrestling' type play. Intelligent; easily learns tricks & solves puzzles. Would be perfect for homebody with enclosed yard or large catio. Supplies included: large cat wheel (assembled), stainless steel litter box/two metal scoops/rubber catch mat, any remaining litter (boxicat, but he's not picky), any remaining food/treats/nip, raised & tilted ceramic dish & glass feeding platform (lessens scarf & barf episodes), all toys/tunnels/puzzles, any remaining topical revolution+ doses, leash/harness & winter hat, brushes & nail clippers, water fountain, soft sided shoulder-bag style carrier.
