Help, please! I am at risk of being euthanized when the shelter gets over-capacity, tragically, which happens often, since am considered a longer-term doggie here at the shelter, arrived March 7th. If I am one of the unlucky ones to be chosen, will then be dumped, with some others, into a black, trash bag..., as if I had no worth, no one or very, very few to even mourn me. I am a baby, only about 2 years old. Recently due to some work at the shelter, I got lucky and was taken home by a shelter volunteer for 2 days. But then coming back to the shelter made me sad as sad can be. She raved about me, my sleepover, and she took some very nice pictures (one of which is my picture here). I walk very well on leash, not distracted by other doggies during walks, am a snuggle bug, can easily self-entertain with doggie toys. I am not a jumpy kind of doggie, especially considering my age, pretty calm. I even pottied on command during my sleepover with the volunteer. Met some doggies on leash, did pretty good, did some sniffing, wagging tail, little on the timid side. Please, come visit me. Maybe take me home? Come. Human speaking here now, please, please, if have the ability to adopt, even foster (different process-which I can explain), Brea, any of the dogs listed at the shelter on here, many more that aren't listed, come out to Chicago Animal Care and Control, contact this page. These dogs aren't 'just' at risk of being euthanized, tragic on its own, but spend most of their time in their kennels, tragedy upon a tragedy, to be caged up so much. It shows what great dogs they are, that they are able to still continue to be great, even though spend most of their time in their kennels. Please, give them a chance. Any dog adopted, will be spayed/neutered by the shelter at no charge, same for microchipping, be current on core vaccines. If want to see other wonderful doggies, besides Brea, possibly save a life, at Chicago Animal Care and Control, who are also in great need of finding a loving home, scroll down and click on, 'Chicago Animal Care and Control', left hand side.
