About Pietro

I need your help, PLEASE!!! I don't want to die. Yes, harsh word, but it is my reality, so please, if can help me, help me. I am getting super stressed at the shelter since being caged up so much, is taking a toll. I can't take it much longer, which will lead to my life being ended, in what the shelter calls, 'humane' euthanasia. I am a very social type of doggie, need my human interactions, being caged up so much, does not allow that. Help me, please, am a very good boy, just am poorly tolerating being so isolated. When am outside with the volunteers, am fine, just not fine when in my kennel, which I spend most of my time in, since there are so many dogs here and not enough volunteers to get us out much, at all. I am only about 5 years old, so have many years left to live, to love, to be loved, if given a chance. Please come take me home with you, please love me, please help me live. I don't know why my human left me here. I keep looking across the fence when out in the shelter yard, for my human, hoping they come back. Sometimes I cry and whine while looking out, even try to open the gate with my paw, to try to get out and find my people. It's also kind of scary here, so not like what I am used to. I very much like it when I snuggle with the volunteers, helps me forget that I am afraid and so lonely, but that doesn't happen enough, since so many doggies here. I know my sit pretty well, also give paw, then other paw, even, am a gentle type. I had done well with other dogs on leash, but now that I am so stressed, am uncomfortable around them, sadly. Come out to meet me, please. I won't have to be afraid anymore with you, I won't be lonely anymore with you, I won't be so stressed anymore with you, I can remain alive with you. Come.
