Help. I am at risk of being euthanized when the shelter gets over-capacity, which happens often, tragically, since I am considered a longer-term doggie here at the shelter, besides being left here by my human. I arrived on Feb. 26th. I don't know why I was left here in this loud, scary place, since am a very good girl. Am only about 5 years young. That is a great age, since I am done with all that puppy/teen stuff, but still have a lot of pep. I miss my home, am mostly lonely here, since stuck in a cage almost 24/7. At first, I was very scared, but little by little less scared. Trying to be the bravest girl there is. I guess, I don't photograph well, since this picture on here, does not do me justice. I am actually very cute. look like I am wearing a girl tuxedo. The person helping me write this, can show you videos that better shows my cuteness, if contact her. I am still learning how to sit on command, but I am not a jumpy type of doggie at all, so it's fine that I am still in the learning process. I like my treats and take them gently from the volunteers. Also, love to play with doggie toys, so am good at self-entertaining, besides snuggling with the volunteers. Sadly, though, not enough of any of that since, so many dogs here, not enough volunteers, so mostly all alone in my kennel, surrounded by a lot of barking dogs, which honestly, can be stressful. I met dogs on leash and did pretty good, just a little timid. Please come visit me. I am a good girl. Maybe take me home? Come. Human speaking here now, please, please, if have the ability to adopt, even foster Aqua (different process, I can explain), any of the dogs listed at the shelter on here, many more that aren't listed, come out to Chicago Animal Care and Control, contact this page. These dogs aren't 'just' at risk of being euthanized, very real risk, tragic on its own, but spend most of their time in their kennels, which is a tragedy upon a tragedy, to be locked up so much of the time. It shows what great dogs they are, that they are able to still continue to be great, even though caged up so much. Any dog that is adopted, will be spayed/neutered by the shelter at no charge, same with microchipping, core vaccines. If want to see other wonderful doggies, besides Aqua, at Chicago Animal Care and Control, who are also in very much need of finding a loving home, scroll down and click on, 'Chicago Animal Care and Control', left-hand side. Come.
