About Gonzo

Gonzo is a gorgeous gray long-haired domestic cat with beautiful green eyes. While he may be slow to warm up at first, once he is comfortable with you he will be your shadow. Gonzo is generally a very chill cat and loves to be where you are and get lots of pets, but he also has a playful side. He loves to run and chase toys, especially lures and ribbons. He even enjoys hunting bugs with his person and will communicate with you by chirping if you help him find one! Gonzo has bursts of energy usually in the morning and later in the evening where he will do lots of running, watching birds, and playing. In between he loves to look out the window and nap in the sunbeams or in a cozy corner. Gonzo would do best in a quieter home with people who are often around. If there are children in the house, it would be best if they were older and able to be patient as he gets to know his new family and surroundings. In his first foster home there were a few resident cats that he enjoyed playing with, so it is possible he would do well in a home with another cat if given the time and space to introduce them properly. We are looking for a new home for him as he and our resident dog are not able to get along despite our best efforts, so he would do best in a home with no dogs. Gonzo is litterbox trained and overall a very well behaved cat. He would do best with access to some sort of scratch post and/or pad to give him acceptable places to scratch and stretch. Gonzo is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. He does eat a prescription diet for bladder and stress, which he will need to stay on for management.
