�Ϭ Meet Nellie �Ϭ 7 months old | 33 lbs | Lab/Curr mix (best guess) Nellie is right in that sweet spot of puppyhood-old enough to have some manners, young enough to still be full of goofy, playful chaos. She's the kind of dog that keeps you laughing and keeps life interesting. She loves all the good stuff-walks, playtime, and chewing on her benebones like it's a full-time job. And bugs? Oh, she takes bug-chasing very seriously. It's basically her career at this point. Nellie can be a little unsure in new places or with loud noises, but she adjusts quickly once she realizes she's safe. Give her a little time and she settles in just fine. She's good with most things once she's comfortable, but let's be real-she's still a puppy. Her play style is very much puppy energy, which isn't always appreciated by smaller dogs. She loves a good game of chase, which can be a little overwhelming for them. She does best with playful dogs her size who can match her energy-and she'll likely become best friends in no time. The good news? She's smart. Like, picks-things-up-quickly smart-and VERY food motivated, which makes training a whole lot easier. ��ӕ�%8F Crate trained (may whine a little at first, then settles) ��ӕ�%8F Sleeps through the night in her crate ��ӕ�%8F Great on leash ��ӕ�%8F Potty trained ��ӕ�%8F Rides well in the car (just needs to be tethered-she likes to try to co-pilot) She will try to door dash, so she needs a home that's mindful about that-but she's actively working on it and improving. With consistency, this is very much a manageable habit and not expected to be a long-term issue. Nellie's ideal home is an active person or family who will play with her, keep her engaged, and continue building her confidence. She's got all the ingredients to be an amazing dog-she just needs someone willing to guide her. Adoption Info: All of our animals are fully vetted, which includes spay/ neuter, up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested and treated if necessary, up to date on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipped prior to adoption. Our requirements are non-negotiable and include the following: All current pets in the home must be spayed or neutered if over 6 months of age, unless there is a documented medical exemption with veterinary confirmation. All current dogs must be up to date on Rabies and Distemper/Parvo (DHPP) vaccinations. All current dogs must be on consistent, consecutive heartworm prevention. Past dogs listed on the application must also show a consecutive history of heartworm prevention.
